The following is a brief account of recent giving and sponsorship:

Another £50 was raised by Revd Brin Berriman.

Individual supporters gave £680.

Aspect Capital gave £3,000 sponsorship for the Lira Clinic.

In Kampala, Bead For Life renewed its sponsorship of Hope Ward with a gift of $15,000 (USD) which meets the costs of a bed for one year.

The following is a brief account of recent giving and sponsorship:

The Revd Brin Berriman and his wife Cheryl raised £1,301 to help support work at the TB Lab.

£250 was received from an individual sponsor to fund training for the team at the Lira Clinic.

£140 was received for our general funds from a number of individual supporters.

In Kampala the Mvule Trust renewed its sponsorship of Hope Ward with a very generous gift of $15,000 (USD) which meets the costs of a bed for one year. This sponsorship will provide medical treatment for many children under the care of the Trust.

Cycle Ride Sponsorship

Brin and Cheryl have so far rasied just over £1,300 in sponsorship from their bike ride. What a tremendous effort. These funds will help to support the ongoing MOT/MODS validation work at the TB Lab.

Our thanks to them and all of their supporters in sunny Penzance.

Brin and Cheryl finished safely and as per plan on Thursday; well done to them.

Here they are at the start, John O’Groats, in the rain, on the 5th September…

1,137 miles and 22 days later they arrive at Lands End, in the sunshine…

and here they are with Dr Mark Russell, who of course didn’t cycle from very far away, eventhough he looks dressed for the part [ but he did help to start the whole TB Lab thing in the first place ]

Here’s Brin’s latest report:

13 days and 813 miles of cycling behind us. Now at Hay on Wye. Broken brake at Chapel Stretton but amazingly old man in hamlet had a new set of the correct brakes in his shed left over from years ago. So what could have been several days delay didnt happen. Intend to arrive Lands End 5 pm Thursday 27th.

We received this text message from Brin on Wednesday:

Reached Arran tue 11 after 6 days and 350 miles. Persistent head winds plus hills = hard work. Rest day wed.
