Dr Richard and children on Hope Ward
Greetings from International Hospital Kampala,
Click here for the latest Hope Ward Newsletter which I’m sure you’ll find of interest. There are a number of patient stories which give a good summary of the type of care and treatment being provided by this team. In the first 6 months of this year we have met the cost of and provided treatment and care for more than 1,300 in-patient bed-nights.
I am very proud of the work being done on Hope Ward and the difference being made in the lives of some many. I just wish we could do more and perhaps with your continued help and support we can.
I recently agreed to setup a Cancer Care Fund to help meet the costs of consultation and treatments for those in need. We have agreed with Dr. Helena a monthly budget of 6m UGX, about £2,000 GBP. I was pleased to be able to commit 12m UGX, the first 2 months, as a gift from IAA HealthCare, our own private health scheme provider. I will provide some further information about our Cancer Care in the next few weeks. In the meantime if you would like to help with this please visit our website at http://www.suubitrust.org.uk/giving.html#howtogive
Please let others know about Hope Ward.
Thank you for your support,
Kevin.
