Another child who came for surgery following a fire accident is Yusuf.
Yusuf’s leg and back were severely burnt and he had to undergo skin grafting surgery to ensure that his lower leg would not stick to his thigh and cause him to be lame.
After some days on Hope Ward and following his surgery, young Yusuf was ‘running’ around the ward and sneaking into our offices (as if on a treasure hunt) with a wide bright smile.
