In February, 16 patients were treated in Hope Ward for various ENT conditions including operations for frontal nasal bone elevation, excision of lower lip lymphangioma, tympanomastoidectomy, polypectomy and tympanoplasty.

This 38 year old lady came into the Hope Ward with chronic pus discharge from the ear, a condition she had suffered with for the last 20 years. This was associated with impaired hearing in the left ear and severe headache during the last 7 years.
She was reviewed by the ENT surgeon who diagnosed her as having suppurative ottitis media. There after she was operated on (tympanoplasty)and discharged a day after the surgery, happy and well.

This 21 year old lady came to the Hope Ward with dry perforation of the right ear. For the last 10 years she has suffered from reduced hearing in both ears. Her right ear, which was the worst hearing ear, was operated on and she went home much better a day after the operation.
