Suubi Trust is supporting the work of International Medical Foundation in Lira, Northern Uganda.
Our initial aim is to provide funds totalling £18,000, during 2008, to provide primary healthcare to the most disadvantaged in this region. We anticipate that such care and treatment will be received by 200 patients each month, 2,400 over the full year. Without such intervention, those being treated would either be unable to find the care needed or simply not be able to afford the fees being charged.
We’ve got off to a great start through generous sponsorship from Aspect Capital, Port-P, Wesleyan Assurance and a number of individual supporters. To date we have raised just over £10,000.
In the period December 29th to January 31st we provided care to 184 patients. Each Patient contributes UGX2,000 towards the cost of treatment, the balance, 93%, is met by Suubi Trust.
This Report gives an overview of the care provided to 54 patients in the last week of January. The report shows the various conditions being treated, patient demographics and our referral source.

Keep up the good work
